Ludovica Di Gregorio is a doctoral candidate in institutions and policies at the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart, Milan. Her current project looks at the influence of two monocratic executives—the Italian president of the council of ministers and the German chancellor—on the development of environmental administrative bodies in Italy and Germany in the second half of the twentieth century. She was awarded a double degree from the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart and the Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg. Ludovica’s master’s thesis assessed how the relationship between the Reagan administration and the US Environmental Protection Agency informed the development of the American environmental policy in the 1980s. Her research has focused on both history of public institutions and environmental policies. In her free time, Zali is an avid hiker and rock climber.
