Giulia Simeoni is a doctoral candidate in Italian studies at Ca’ Foscari University of Venice, where she is working on a project on the narration of the climate crisis in Western novels of the last two decades. She graduated from Ca’ Foscari in Italian literature and philology with a thesis on the common patterns of European modernism. Her research has focused on ecocritical approaches to fiction and the intersections of modernist and hyper-contemporary literature.
