The doctoral program's invited speaker in the summer semester was Sverker Sörlin from KTH Stockholm.
Sverker gave a fascinating talk in the RCC's Lunchtime Colloquium series on his work on the Swedish government's climate change advisory panel.
Afterwards, he joined the doctoral students for a discussion on the role scholars can play as public figures, whether in politics, journalism, or activism.
