Barbara Brandl studied sociology, economics and political sciences in Munich and Maastricht (NL). In 2010 she received her Diplom in Sociology from the LMU Munich. From 2010 to 2013 Barbara worked a scientific fellow at the Department of Sociology (LMU Munich). Since June 2013 she holds a dissertation grant from the 'Cusanuswerk'. From August 2013 to June 2014 she was as a visiting scholar at the Department of Agricultural Economics, Sociology, and Education, Pennsylvania State University (USA). In her dissertation project Barbara Brandl examines the impact of institutional structures on technological innovations by using the example of the seed sector in the U.S. and Germany.
